A water main break in Topeka has a stretch of road shut down for a while.
Water from that break turned to ice in the low temps Wednesday, causing a three car accident.
Police say an Eastbound car slid on the ice, crossed the median, and hit an oncoming car head on, causing both cars to cross back over the median.
One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
Southeast to 29th and South Kansas Avenue closed at 7 p.m. until the problem is fixed. The fix could take two weeks.
There will be no thru traffic Eastbound or Southbound left turn traffic allowed.
The city suggests taking Kansas to 21st, 21st to Adams, or Adams to 29th.
