Children at the Topeka Rescue Mission were paid an early visit from Santa this year. The Mid-America Sawdusters Club and students from Seaman Middle school presented hand-made toys to the children Tuesday.
Club members and students worked on building the toys all year, sanding and painting them every chance they got. They made cars, trucks, and trains, all with real wheels. There were also cats, mice, and snowmen toys.
Students said it's exciting to see the children's faces light up when they get to pick out a toy.
