Wolf Creek generating station, based in Burlington, announced Tuesday its application for a renewed license has been approved. It will allow the company to operate an additional twenty years beyond its original license to the year 2045.

The original 40-year license was scheduled to expire in 2025. President and Chief Executive Officer Rick Muench says they are pleased to continue generating electricity for their owners and contributing to the livelihood of the community well into the future.
