Plane Makes Emergency Landing at KCI

A tense situation for airline passengers in the skies over Kansas City Tuesday morning.

A United Express flight en route from Saint Louis to Denver had to make an emergency landing at KCI's overhaul base. The plane had a cracked windshield. It's unclear what caused the crack - the windshield was shattered but still in place when the plane reached the gate just after 7:30 am.

72 people were on board. Another plane took them on to Denver. No one was hurt.
