Rain heavy at times will move across northeast Kansas this afternoon and tonight that could lead to flooding. Severe storms are also possible through this evening with 60 mph wind gusts and hail up to the size of quarters.
A makeover for the College Hill area will get a little more time to finish up.
The Topeka City Council gave developer Henry McClure until December 31 of 2010 to complete building "J" Thursday night.
That is the only building not on track for completion by the end of this year. It will hold eight town-homes. However, McClure will still have to pay the property tax equivalent on the incomplete property until it is sold.
McClure says 74 percent of the apartments are leased out, and 94 percent of the construction work is complete.
