(Kansas City, MO) - An aircraft with a cracked windshield landed safely at the Kansas City International Airport Overhaul Base Tuesday morning.

The United Express flight from St. Louis to Denver made the emergency landing about 7-45 AM.

It is still unclear what caused the jetliner’s windshield to crack. It was shattered but still in place when the plane reached the gate.

Seventy-two people were on board. Another plane was dispatched to take passengers to their destination.
