Boundaries for a new Topeka-area elementary school are one step closer to being determined.

The Auburn Washburn School Board Monday night met to discuss boundary plans for Farley Elementary School.

Communications Coordinator Martin Weishaar says Monday night's meeting was the first chance to discuss the plan as a board.

The board will bring the plan back December 15th, and vote on final approval.

Farley Elementary is set to open for the 2009-2010 school year.

Also at the meeting, the Board of Education honored the Washburn Rural High School Volleyball team for winning the 6A State Championship.

They also honored cross country runner Avery Clifton, she won the 6A Cross Country individual title.
