Several people tied the laces on their running shoes and crossed the finish line at the third annual Rescue Run in downtown Topeka Saturday!
The rain didn't keep athletes from hitting the pavement. The run started at 5 and ended in time for athletes to catch the parade.
The event benefits the Rescue Mission.
Runners followed the Parade route. The goal of the run is to show off the beauty of downtown, promote wellness and a healthy lifestyle and to raise awareness and concern for those less fortunate while kicking off the holiday season.
