Miracle on Kansas Avenue Parade
TOPEKA, Kan. - Rain did not stop the Miracle on Kansas Avenue Parade in Topeka Saturday night. Dozens of floats and hundreds of spectators joined in on the fun. The Topeka Fire Department's float was a favorite. Each float had some kind of light and several handed out candy or other treats. MY DAUGHTER WALKED IN THE PRADE WITH THE CAPITAL CITY CRUSHER AND SHE HAD A BLAST. BUT THE END SHE WAS VERY COLD AND WET. BUT STILL LOOKS FORWARD TO THE NEXT PRADE WHERE SHE CAN DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN.

I liked the Fire mans float. But my favorite was the Grinch that stole Christmas. It was the BEST!

Though the Topeka Fire Department is always a hit, and those guys are a true asset to the city, the float mentioned in the video with the "fire" was the Highway 4 Automotive / Great Plains Balloon Club float, warming up as many parade go-ers as possible.
