PRATT, Kan. (AP) _ The death of a 48-year-old woman in Pratt is being investigated as a homicide, the first in almost 20 years in the south-central Kansas town.
Alesia Dorris-Graham was partially disabled. A police officer found her body Saturday after a home-health worker making a routine check reported a burglary.
Police labeled the death a homicide on Monday following a preliminary autopsy. Authorities won't say exactly how Dorris-Graham was killed, but they're calling the attack aggressive and brutal.
They also say the attack was not random.
Dorris-Graham lived in a house owned by an ex-boyfriend. Police said they've talked with the man and don't consider him a suspect.
