Dover Woman Among GMA Pie Finalists

DOVER, Kan. (AP) _ In the northeast Kansas town of Dover, Norma Grubb is known for her pies. Now the rest of the country knows about her pies, too.

Grubb was crowned "Pie Queen'' on Sunday by the judges at ABC's "Good Morning America.'' Her coconut cream pie was chosen among four finalists in the "Best Slice Challenge.''

The 88-year-old Grubb bakes about 20 to 25 pies a week, but baked 57 in the past week as interest grew. She makes her creations for the Sommerset Hall Cafe in Dover.

The restaurant was the site for the weekend announcement, packed with supporters and pie enthusiasts.
