TOPEKA, Kan. - Big Brothers Big Sisters hosted a Thank You luncheon Friday at the Holiday Inn Holidome. All the "Bigs" were invited and one Little sang for the crowd.
The luncheon, called "Little Moments, Big Magic," was thrown to thank the "Big" volunteers and community sponsors.
Board President Jim Ogle welcomed guests to the luncheon. Little Sister Emily Hernandez sang "You'll be in my Heart" accompanied by David Schaffer.
Big Brothers Big Sisters CEO, Nancy Daniels, gave her vision for the BBBS program.
The crowd then heard from people who contribute to and are touched by the BBBS program. Joey Little gave his "Big" perspective. Amy Wethington is the parent of a "Little" and gave her perspective.
A collection taken up after lunch helps raise money for the organization.
