Students at Washburn University are getting a first hand look at the election process.
A post election town forum was held tonight at the Washburn campus, where political communication students got the chance to talk to local political leaders.
The students are supposed to apply what they have learned throughout the election process to write a final paper.
They have taken part in online blogs, debate watches, as well as exit polling on election night
Assistant professor Leslie Reynard says she wants the students to be a part of making history by engaging in the democratic process.
