Two former employees of a South Hutchinson nursing home face misdemeanor counts of promoting obscenity after allegedly taking photos of an elderly woman's genitals.

Amber Ringquist and Kyleigh Wedel, both 18, are accused of taking the pictures of an 83-year-old woman with a cell phone camera at Mennonite Manor.

Assistant Reno County District Attorney Michelle Specht says the two women did not download the images onto a computer or intend to release them, which could have resulted in more severe charges.

The nursing home reported the incident to police after the two women showed the digital image to a fellow employee, who reported it to a supervisor.
