4 People Safe After Apartment Goes Up In Flames

St. Marys, KS (WIBW)--Four people were able to escape an aparment in St. Marys after it went up in flames Saturday.

Very little information is available. Fire crews are on the scene of 311 Grand Avenue, Apt 9 in St. Marys.

We don't know if any other apartments are also on fire or just how large the complex is. It is confirmed as of midnight that the fire is out.

Fire crews asked for mutual aid from nearby Shawnee county departments. The American Red Cross is on the scene of the fire assisting with those who live there.

There are no reports of injuries. It was first reported that someone was trapped in the fire, that hasn't been able to be confirmed.
