Escaped Prisoner Prompts School Lock-down in Kansas City, KS

An escaped prisoner from Wichita prompted the lock-down of two schools in Kansas City, Kansas Wednesday morning. Police said they were looking for Harlan Epps, 21, near the area.

Epps, convicted on a drug offense, escaped from a work release program in Wichita November 4th. Authorities received a tip that he was at a location in Kansas City. Officers said shots were fired at a home in the area.

Two nearby schools were placed on lock-down while officers conducted a door-to-door search for epps. He remains at-large.
