All Veterans Memorial Holds Ceremony

An Iraq war veteran who continues to serve with the Kansas National Guard shared his experiences at a Topeka Veterans Day ceremony.

A gunfire and cannon salute were part of the event at the Great Overland Station.

Lt. Col. Roger Aeschliman of the Kansas Army National Guard spoke to those attending. He spent a year in Iraq with the 2nd batallion, 137th infantry. He now serves as the environmental officer and director of facilities engineering for the Kansas Army National Guard.
