Soldiers/ Veterans Highlighted in Manhattan Parade

Fort Riley, Kan. - If you like to see a parade, more than 1,000 Soldiers
will march in the Veterans Day parade in Manhattan Nov. 11 at 9:30 a.m.
This year's grand marshal is Brig. Gen Perry Wiggins, commanding
general, 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley.

The parade travels west along Poyntz Avenue beginning at the Manhattan Town Center and ending at Manhattan's City Park.

Parade participants include soldiers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team
who returned from Iraq this spring, the Commanding General's Mounted
Color Guard, a standard color guard and a variety of military vehicles.
After the parade is over, military vehicles will be setup in the city
park for the public to view.
