Anyone hesitant to delve into the art world should fear not when it comes to the Alice C. Sabatini Gallery. Nestled just inside the entrance of the Topeka-Shawnee County Public Library, you'll find no art snobs here.
Gallery workers pride themselves on not only being an approachable gateway into the world of art, they also try to be a platform for Kansas artists and Kansas art history.
"Here we want to teach children how to act in an art gallery. You look, but don't touch, and so on," adds Sherry Best, one of the people responsible for making the art gallery such a draw for the library's passers by.
The current Exhibit, Kansas Impressions, focuses on just that, the rich art history of the sunflower state.
