ROME (AP) -- A train and mass transit strike is expected to disrupt traffic throughout Italy on Monday.
Transport unions said Friday they called a 24-hour nationwide transport strike, set to begin at 9 p.m. (2000 GMT) Sunday. Some long-distance service and some regional trains used mainly by commuters will be guaranteed on morning and evening rush hours.
The strike was called to put pressure on national transport union contract renewal talks.
