The Kansas Department of Transportation today discussed the Highway 24 corridor with the public.
A traffic study discussed at an open house tonight is the first part of a combination of two corridor studies currently being conducted.
This one looks at how long the road can function properly with two lanes. KDOT says it's doing okay right now, but they was to get feedback from the community on the project.
KDOT says there are no current plans or funding available to widen Highway 24 between Wamego and Topeka.
