Anybody who drives through 21st and Urish in southwest Topeka will find a pleasant surprise.
The intersection was reopened Thursday with a new roundabout.
It has been closed since early May.
Business owners in the near-by shopping center had previously complained about losing customers as commuters were detoured from the area.
While traffic is flowing, city officials say Urish will undergo more work which will shut it off through the end of the year.
