Topeka Teen Gets Thirty Months in Assault Case

One of two teens accused of attacking a Topeka High School campus police officer last winter will spend thirty months in the Juvenile Corrections Facility.

Ramon Garcia and Joshua Munoz were charged with jumping a USD 501 police officer as he led a student from the building. Garcia pleaded guilty last month to a charge of assault on a law enforcement officer and was sentenced Thursday.

Munoz had his trial delayed. A new date isn't set yet.
