TOPEKA, Kan. - Authorities say a red, Ford F-150 that was pulled from the Wakarusa River Thursday was reported stolen in October.

Shawnee Heights Fire, Shawnee County Sheriff's deputies, Auburn Police and Fire, and AMR responded to the scene. Divers used a ladder to get down the bank and into the river. They checked the inside of the truck and wrapped a cord around the bed so that it could be pulled from the water by a tow truck.

No one was found inside the truck. The license plate was taken off.

Authorities are conducting an investigation to determine whether the truck was accidentally or purposefully driven into the river.
