TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ Democrat Nancy Boyda has known she's been a political target ever since she won the seat for Kansas' 2nd Congressional District.
In today's election, she finds out whether Republicans hit their mark.
Boyda faces State Treasure Lynn Jenkins.
Boyda is looking for her second term in the House. She beat five-time Republican incumbent and former Olympian Jim Ryun in 2006 to win the seat.
Jenkins has touted her credentials as a certified public accountant and has attacked Boyda over tax and spending issues.
Boyda has portrayed herself as an independent, and she's emphasized constituent services.
The 26-county district includes Topeka, as well as Forts Leavenworth and Riley.
