Boeing machinists are back at work Monday after voting to end a costly eight-week strike. Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers went on strike September 6.
The walkout cost Boeing an estimated $100 million a day in deferred revenue and production delays on the company's highly anticipated next-generation passenger jet.
The workers ratified a new contract Saturday with about 74-percent voting in favor. The deal covers 27,000 workers including about 700 in Wichita.
