New Place for Topeka Teens Opens at Library

Topeka has a new place for teens to have fun with reading. The Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library hosted the grand opening Thursday of a new center dedicated to teen library users.

The new center was designed by finding out from the teens themselves what they feel is important. Library staff collaborated with teen focus groups who got to give their input every step of the way, from ideas on the decor of the room, to program ideas and activities.

AT&T Yellow Pages sponsored the grand opening event.
