There was a whole "latte" celebrating as the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce joined the owners and staff to celebrate Topeka's newest coffee house.
Hot Java officially opened Thursday with a ribbon cutting in front of the building.
Michelle Boyer, owner, says they are excited to open the business. She says the location will offer residents in that part of Topeka a convenient place to get a good cup of coffee. Hot Java is located at 3343 SW Gage Blvd.
Boyer says she and her husband have been answering questions while they prepared the store from those excited to see the area receive new business.
Boyer says the business is having a little fun during the grand opening. A competition is being held to name the coffee bean that is on the sign on the front of the store.
