Kansas Vet, 74, Trampled by Bull Dies

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ A southeast Kansas veterinarian has died,
eight days after a bull he was vaccinating trampled him.
Dr. Ed Fisher of Winfield was working with the bull in pens
behind his veterinary hospital on Oct. 21 when he was injured. The
Winfield Courier reported that Fisher's son-in-law, Mike Legako,
managed to get the bull away from Fisher.
The 74-year-old Fisher died Tuesday at Via Christi Regional
Medical Center in Wichita.
Fisher worked as a veterinarian for 45 years and served as
Winfield's mayor and on the city commission.
