As election day approaches, Kansans are breaking all kinds of records.
In Shawnee County alone, the elections office is reporting 110,680 registered voters, up almost 2,000 from the record in 2004.

Advance voting numbers are also up by almost 3,000 from 2004. There have already been 17,000 advance applications this election year. The office expects busy days and long lines Friday and Monday leading up to the noon deadline for advance voting in person.

If want to vote in advance they suggest going until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night, or from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
