A Topeka woman remains in ICU after an accident in Crawford County on October 18th. Tami Desch, 49, and Kevin Hayek, 50, were traveling on U69 Highway and 640 Avenue near Arma when an SUV pulled out onto 69 in front of their motorcycle.
Tami Desch's sister says she flew 60 feet in the air off the cycle, and her brother-in-law Kevin flew 40 feet. Both Kevin and Tami were life-flighted to St. John's Medical Center in Joplin.
Kevin Desch was treated for severe injuries and released Wednesday. Tami Desch remains in the hospital in stable condition. The accident remains under investigation.
