KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) _ A federal prosecutor in Kansas will
work on Election Day to respond to complaints of fraud and voting
rights violations.

Acting U.S. Attorney Marietta Parker says anyone experiencing problems should contact her office.

Parker says her office is taking part in the U.S. Justice Department's nationwide Election Day Program. Assistant U.S. Attorney Leon Patton is making himself available to the public while the polls are open.

Parker says she does not expect problems, but warns that there
are criminal penalties for fraudulently influencing the election
outcome or preventing another person from voting.
