COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) _ Barack Obama brings his Democratic campaign
for the White House back to Missouri this week with an appearance
in Columbia.

The Illinois senator is scheduled to appear Thursday night at a rally on the Mel Carnahan Quad at the University of Missouri. A schedule posted Monday on the Obama campaign Web site says gates
will open at 7:30 p.m., with the event starting two hours later.

Obama's running mate, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, is also expected Thursday in the state, but details have yet to be announced.

And Republican John McCain's running mate will be in southeast Missouri on Thursday. Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has scheduled a
morning stop in Cape Girardeau.

A new poll conducted for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and television station KMOV shows Obama and McCain about even in Missouri.
