One road will close Saturday as part of an ongoing project, while another road project officially ended Friday.
MacVicar Avenue will be closed from 2nd to 6th from 8 am to 1 pm Saturday for concrete work. The work is part of ongoing efforts to widen the stretch of road.
Meantime, Topeka residents are celebrating the completion of a different construction project.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday at Southeast 6th and Golden to celebrate the reconstruction of the 6th and 10th street intersection.
The project did away with the pie-shaped intersection that was located near 6th and Golden.
The reconstruction began in July of 2007. It cost $2.3 million.
