The juveniles who killed four birds at the Emporia zoo received different sentences today.
Our radio partner KVOE in Emporia reports 11-year-old Andrew Rodriguez received juvenile justice authority custody for his convictions of animal cruelty and criminal trespass.
11-year-old Hernan Hernandez got two years of juvenile intensive supervision probation for his part in killing the birds.
Both must also complete 50 hours of community service as part of their sentence.
