Wednesday Kansas Attorney General Steve Six joined 32 other states in a settlement with Pfizer Inc.
Wednesday's judgement resolves a five-year investigation into the company's promotion of the drugs Celebrex and Bextra.
Pfizer will pay 60-million dollars to the participating states as part of the settlement. They will also have restrictions on their ability to deceptively promote all of their products.
Kansas will receive over $740,000 dollars. That money will go to paying attorney fees and litigation costs as well as increasing consumer education and enforcement of consumer protection laws.
