TOPEKA - Topeka's Goodyear workers will get some more unexpected time off.
The company announced Wednesday two more temporary shutdowns of commercial truck tire production. They'll happen the weeks of November 3rd and December 1st.
A Goodyear spokesperson says reduced customer demand is to blame, likely because of the slow economy.
The move affects about 500 workers. They plant also had week-long shutdowns in September and October.
Topeka's not alone. The spokesperson says three other Goodyear plants will shut down next week.
