Governor Kathleen Sebelius led a delegation to Washington, D.C Tuesday, making a pitch to bring a new bio-defense facility to the Sunflower State.
The group met with Homeland Security officials, who are deciding where to build the $451 million National Bio- and Agro0 Defense Facility.
A site on K-State's Manhattan campus is among five finalists.
Homeland Security says it will pick a location by the end of the year.
