TOPEKA, Kan. - The YWCA Tuesday wanted to help spread the word about ending dating and sexual violence to a younger crowd, so they used the Voices against Violence concert as an entertaining way to attract college students.
Sarah Stadler, an employee with the YWCA's Battered Women Task Force, said the week's events are meant to bring awareness to violence, but also to let victims and survivors know they're not alone. "We just want everyone to know that the Battered Women Task Force is here. We're available as a resource. Advocates are always there to listen. We're there to support."
