Rain heavy at times will move across northeast Kansas this afternoon and tonight that could lead to flooding. Severe storms are also possible through this evening with 60 mph wind gusts and hail up to the size of quarters.
Fort Riley, KS - Ghost stories come to life at Fort Riley Oct. 26 when the Historical and Archaeological Society of Fort Riley sponsor the annual Ghost Tours on post.
According to Jimi Parker, the ghostess for the event, it will be an evening of fun and excitement. She said since this is the 13th year of the event, there will be 13 stops on the Main Post tour.
Parker said the event is a walking tour that takes visitors approximately 2 miles. She said the tour starts at 3 p.m. with the last one beginning at 7 p.m. She stressed the tour is family friendly and will be held rain or shine.
She said the tour begins at King Field House and is free. However, she said donations will be accepted.
Parker invites the general public to come out and enjoy some ghostly fun and said three ghost books, complete with resident and employee experiences, have been produced by HASFR that will be for sale as an evening souvenir.
