3 Teens Charged in Detroit School Shooting Case

DETROIT (AP) _ Three teenagers have been charged with murder in
the shooting death of a Detroit high school junior.
Two 18-year-olds and a 15-year-old were being held on
first-degree murder charges Monday. Each also was arraigned on
three counts of assault with intent to murder and one count of
using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
16-year-old Christopher Walker was shot to death Thursday
afternoon near a high school on the city's northwest side. Three
others were wounded.
The shootings followed an earlier fight inside the school,
police said.
Detroit school officials have been besieged with complaints
about school violence since the shooting.
Dozens of parents attended a special school board meeting Monday
night, asking members to step up security. Some parents yelled at
the board and hurled complaints at the superintendent.
