Sharefest volunteers helped out at five Topeka Public Schools and Garfield Community Center Saturday morning. They visited State Street and Scott Magnet Elementary Schools, Chase and Robinson Middle Schools, and Topeka High School. Sharefest organizers met with the District to decide which schools needed the most support this year.
More than 1,200 volunteers spent the morning planting, mulching and painting. Some arrived as early as 7 a.m.
