Raising awareness and money was the goal Saturday night for the Leukemia and Lympoma Society with their Light the Night walk at Washburn University.
Dozens of families with kids in hand gather on the grounds of Washburn University at 21st street and Washburn for the annual walk. Money raised goes towards research and awareness for those living with and recently diagnosed with Leukemia and Lymphoma.
Until a cure is found, Light the Night is helping to enhance and prolong lives by funding important society education and information programs on blood cancers.
