Kansas Supreme Court Upholds Conviction in "Midway Murders"

The Kansas Supreme Court has upheld a conviction in the so-called "Midway Murders." Martin Vasquez was sentenced to at least 40 years in prison for killing his estranged wife, her father and a city council member she had been dating in December 1998 in Kinsley, Kansas.

Vasquez claimed evidence of earlier domestic violence should not have been admitted. The Supreme Court disagreed.
