A 20-year-old Manhattan man will be sentenced November 21 for the gruesome killing of his former roommate last year. A Riley County jury Wednesday found Kevin Hernandez guilty of first-degree murder in the slaying and dismemberment of Adam Hooks in June 2007.

He was also convicted of aggravated robbery and
aggravated burglary. Hooks' body parts were found stuffed in the back of his jeep outside his home. Prosecutors have asked for 50 years to life, with no parole for at least 50 years.
