Local children were warmed with love Thursday along with big fluffy coats. As part of the Sharefest celebration, workers were at Quincy Elementary School donating coats for the children.
The coats are donated from different churches around Topeka. All the 501 schools are involved, but schools are selected by which ones need the coats most. Sharefest says its mission is to make the children know they are loved and help the community.
This is the third year the event has taken place. Over 250 coats were donated.
