MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) _ Law officers say they have located a
minivan believed to have been driven by a young woman found slain
in Manhattan.
Pottawatomie County deputies Tuesday released no details on how
or where they found the van that was driven by 18-year-old Alhelia
Alcantara (ahl-uh-LEE'-uh all-kan-TAHR'-un). She was found dead
Sunday morning behind a Quality Inn on the east side of Manhattan.
More details on the crime and developments in the investigation
are expected later Tuesday.
The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that loved ones of Alcantara
said she was last seen in Topeka Saturday night when she went to
Wal-Mart to buy milk for her grandmother.
