A boy scout troop is helping Topeka go green!

Troop 18 was at the Wal-Mart Super Center on Wanamaker Sunday afternoon collecting aluminum cans for recycling.

All you had to do was bring your cans to the front entrance to be recycled.

You could then vote for your favorite charity, and the proceeds from recycling the cans will be donated to the charity with the most votes.

Troop 18 of Tecumseh is worked with Keep America Beautiful and Wal-Mart to put on the event.
