Kids Learn to Test Water Quality

Some kids got a chance to learn a little bit about the environment today.

Members of Riverside 4-H learned how to test the quality of some area water sources.

World water monitoring day began September 18th.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment supports the program and provides kits to those interested in testing water quality.

Scott Satterthwaite says the water monitoring program is important for children to get involved in their environment.

The water monitoring program is a world wide project which means the kids can get on-line and check out water qualities from all over the world.
