Hundreds of Kansas families get help finding housing or keeping their homes. That's thanks to over 97-thousand dollars in housing counseling grants from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The money comes in two grants.
The consumer credit counseling service in Salina is getting over 23-thousand dollars. Housing and credit counseling in Topeka is getting over 73-thousand dollars.
The grants will go to helping people realistically evaluate their readiness to buy a home.
